HOW THE HELL DO YOU RESPOND TO COMPLIMENTS? I am going to admit it. I am horribly socially awkward and because of this I act like an artard* in different situations. The number one issue I have is responding to someone if they compliment me. I usually just end up looking down at the ground, staring at my feet as I kick at a little stone only I can see, and don't say a word. Or if it's on the internet I don't respond at all and leave an open ended conversation just floating around out in the world. I know I should at least say thank you but to me when I say thank you in a confident manner it seems like I come across as arrogant or pompous
